It's been a year since I started walking to work. At 4 kms. per day, 5 days per week, 52 weeks in a year less 2 weeks for vacation and maybe a few days because I chose to ride my bike, I've walked around 1000 kms! And this is not to mention walking around town, to church or anywhere else.
My body has more strength, better balance and greater breathing capacity. I have dealt with various fears and learned to persevere. Because of these improvements and victories, I have more endurance and confidence. .
Walking has been a benefit to me in many different ways.
As I write about my walking experiences, I hope others will be encouraged to walk.
